General,
I have the honor to present the report which follows, of the sanitary conditions of freedmen in the District of Virginia during, and at the close of the Month of June 1868.
   
At the date of my last sanitary report, May 31st, there were nine hundred and sixty five (965) sick and wounded remaining under the charge of Medical Officers of the Bureau in the District of Virginia.  965

Total Received under charge during the month of June   2338  
Total number under charge during the month of June   3303  
Discharged during the month of June  2648  
Died during the month of June  29  
Total loss during the month of June  2677  
Remaining under charge   30th June  626 
Reduction in number under charge of Medical Officers, comparing June 30th with May 31st  339  
Reduction in percentage of deaths to 1000, comparing June with May per ct   8
