After the Mass are provided for if the Government aid can be extended to George and Rickman I hope it will be.  But, I think they had better not leave anything to do with the school.  It is my judgement that the encourgement of the schools can not be better or more successful than at present.  Miss Gardner informs me that the New England Society proposes to establish a Normal School and to arrange with the Bureau if possible to jointly (that is by joint efforts) buy land and remove the present building and erect buildings out of the material and hereafter give special attention to the preparation of pupils to teach.  This plan I approve.   I dont think there will be any materials to spare for a church but if there should be one might be built.  I can attend to the whole matter.  Money can be raised here and else where by subscription perhaps enough  so that the Bureau need only give the building; but if not I would recommend that the Bureau supply
