Bureau R.F. and A.L. King Wm [[King William]] C.H. Va Feby 9th 1868 Lt P.R. Hambrick S.A.C. Lieut I wish to correct one statement in my communication of the 6th inst regarding Butten Edwards. It was not his intention to employ Wm Frank as an arbitrator, cut to call him as a witness The fact that Hill cannot get a man in whom he has confidence to go there as stated in my com. is not to be disputed unless Edwards, is badly slandered. E. says he is anxious to have an immediate investigation which makes it seem to me another good reason for a prompt investigation of the whole affair by Mil Commission He says he can bring [[?]] in his debt. If so he ought to have a chance to try. Respectfully &c C.P. Goodyear ASA Comr
