I have the honor to state that the freedmen near Centerville, Fairfax Co. Va. commenced the erection of a school building, but are unable to finish it. The land has been donated for the purpose by a colored man, and the freedpeople in that vicinity will support a teacher.

I respectfully request that we may be assisted to the amount of $150.00.
