Coleman, the colored man, who was arrested under the charge of inciting insurrection in Halifax County and who is now released on Bail viz #300.- hears an excellent reputation among both classes and has been and is, an honorable industrious peaceable man - but one anxious to advance the intents of his race - This with his intelligence, energy and tact gives him considerable influence over those of his own color and renders him capable of doing a vast amount of good at evil, but as to his using his influence in the direction of violations of the law - by encouraging the organizations of armed bodies at inciting insurrection or for any evil purpose.
