In the Clerks Office of the Court of the Corportation of the City of Norfolk.
I Henry M Rowden Clerk of the said Court of the Corporation of the City of Norfolk, State aforesaid do hereby certify that there is a deed in Record in said Office from Benjamin Pollard and Elisa B his wife to Elisha R Johnson conveying "a certain lot or piece of land situated on the North side of Bute Street and bounded as follows: Beginning at the S.W. corner of a brick house  lately built on Pomphrey's lot One hundred and six feet more or less from Catharine Street and running thence Westwardly along the North side of Bute Street thirty feet to Denby's line, thence Northwardly in a line parallel with Catharine Street and along Denby's line One hundred and twenty feet to a Stone or post, thence running Eastwardly in a line parallel with Brute Street thirty feet to Pomphrey's line thence Southwardly along Pomphrey's line One hundred and twenty feet to the place of beginning on Bute Street" which said Deed is dated March 4th 1856 and was admitted to Record March 17th 1856-
