I, Solomon Dixon, (Colored) being duly sworn do depose and say [?] was to the best of my knowledge been in the County of Westmoreland Virginia, a freeman and am sworn always free & am a farmer sworn always. That I never did any act in and of the late Rebellion against the United States. That on or about 1st of April 1864 a Regiment or part of Federal troop (Union) Cavalry and the party (Colored) was landed at Coln' point in said County, They seized me and passed through my farm & returned at night fall and embarked the next day. That there troops took and destroyed and Carried off the following property of mine vz'
