We the undersigned being duly sworn do depose and say that we are previously well acquainted with Solomon Dixon whose having signed the annexed state ment and have known him for many years past and know him to be and always to have been all through the war a strong Union man. We also know that the said Solomon Dixon was pilfered of his own of the property mentioned by him, and what it was worth. The value stated by him that is being the mare, Bugsy, ox cows and calf, sheep lambs, saddle and bridle, Bugsy herself, [[calf]] and cow shelter of [[lowr]] and [[wear]] to the other property we know that he was pilfered of [[or luty]] of that kind of his own property worth the value stated by him, and we were informed and verily believe that all the said property was taken and compounded or carried off or stolen [[from]] him.  Two of us [[Bevy]]. Though on [[swinherd]] way on 13 June 1864 eye [[witness]] of [[thousand]] troop.  That we are farmers and neighbors of the said Solomon Dixon and believe fully every statement made by him.

in the state and county aforesaid, duly [[Command]] and sworn,  [[orally]] that William Reed, George Carey, Benjamin Thompson and Bartely Gaillion whose names are signed to the writing annexed here orally approved before me in said county and acknowledged the same to be their [[aisend]] made out to the [[both]] of the statements therein so forth and I further certify that Solomon Dixon whose name is signed to the writing first hereto annotated here orally offered before me or aforesaid and [[]] the same [[]] his ... and made oath that the statements therefore true [[]]  And further certify that Ro. Mayo whose name is signed as a witness to the said writings here orally appeared before me as aforesaid and made oath that [[]] the parties thereto [[]] executed and aforementioned the said writings in his hearing and that he signed them having the same [[]] their request, they being unable to write all of what is [[]] my hand this 6 day of December 1865
