In the 2" Division there are three schools one at Bowling Green. one at Port Royal. and one at Reed's Church. the two former taught by colored people - the latter by Mr Beruth (white)

The schools in this Division are not as prosperous as they will soon become under the supervision of Mr. Tukey - who has taken hold with a vigor that will - must - have a beneficial effect.

In the 3rd Division there are two schools one at Tappahannock, taught by Mr Stephens of Phila. Pa. one at at Larretto, Essex Co. taught by Miss Baylor late a pupil of the school at this place, three teachers are colored.

In the 4th Division three schools have been organized, one at Warsaw, taught by a man named Wright. one at Farmham's Church, and one at Durrettsville. the latter school has a vacation at present - the teacher being at his home in Phila. - The two former teachers are white - the latter colored.
