Referring to the communication of Mr. C. Jean of Greensville Co. dated July 13th (herewith returned) I have the honor to report that I have carefully investigated the matter of his complaint and thereon submit here with the following report.
The father of Mr. C. Jeans the petitioner died in 1859 leaving in his last will and testament his estate consisting of four hundred and twenty acres of land with its apportenances in Greenville County to his six children, among them Ci[[?]]cinatus and appointing him [[?]]tus Jean the executor of his will.
