Reports outrage committed on Mr. Alvin Varner by a party of Ten or Twelve Armed men, who dragged him from his bed, between the hours of 12 and 3, on Friday morning the 28th, took him to a gully, threw a cloth over his head, and made real or pretended preparations to hang him.
