Cross examined
I Did not know when Sudsberry was killed until I was told the following night by one of our women. I went to Mr Robt Hubard's whispering plantation to breakfast that morning - it is about three miles from where I live -

Chloe Allen introduced by the attorney for the Commonwealth - I remained at home all day, the day the murder was committed and did not see prisoner before Stanley came, I think I should have been apt to have seen him, had he been there, there being nothing to prevent me seeing in the kitchen door - I did not go into my kitchen that morning and do not know whether Harrison was there or not - Dick Brown lives in my kitchen - and left the morning of the murder before I eat my breakfast, - I have no regular time of eating breakfast, sometimes at sun rise and sometimes half an hour after sun rise
