Commissioner to inform you that rations issued to Refugees & Freedmen should be reported separately - In your August report Refugees were issued to in James City Co. You will please forward to these Head Quarters report embracing the Refugees above mentioned only. I will have the issue erased from the report received. I am General Very Respectfully Your obedt. Messrs Corson & Beatty have leased the Island for one year from October 1st 1865 with the privilege of renewing the same for five years, from the Bureau at a yearly rent of seventy-five $75.00/100 dolls.
