Sally Hardman has recently visited a section of Caroline County and has had a good opportunity of learning the condition of the people in that region
Her observation included a circuit of ten miles - but she had reason to believe that this was a representative district - She finds that the people though very poor can get along tolerably in respect to provisions and fuel - but that a portion of them are very destitute in respect to clothing - vis. the old people and the children, and with her I respectfully petition those in charge of this department - to furnish clothing to these destitute classes -
