Captain:

In compliance with Circular No. 5, from Head Quarters Asst. Com'r. of Va. dated March 27th 1867, I have the honor to report:  That during the month of March 1868, I made the usual quarterly inspection of this Sub-District (10th of Va.) and investigated personally the condition of Bureau affairs in each Division thereof:

I visited Warrenton Fauquier Co. the Head Quarters of the 4th Division Morton Havens A.S.A. Com'r; in charge; I found the business in good condition, and well attended to, the books kept in conformity with the Bureau Manuel, and everything connected with the office arranged satisfactorily;  The Schools in this Div were in a prosperous condition, the people making considerable exertion to secure a further extension of the advantages of a free education.
