Office of A.S.A. Comr Warrenton Va May 27th/68 Respectfully returned to Bvt Lt Col S. P. Lee S.A.C. whose attention is invited to letter from Mr R H Dulaney, Mar 24th/68 enclosed. Mr D is very zealous is behalf of the mental and moral improvement of the Colored people, and inasmuch as he is one of the wealthiest and most influential gentlemen of the county his influence in behalf of the colored people will have a powerful tendency to overcome the hostility which is now so universal against over colored schools. I trust the amount asked for will be given in order that, the colored people may go forward with the building. They will purchase the ground as soon as they have any certainty of getting help.
