Respectfully forwarded to Bvt Brig Genl O Brown Assist Commissioner Dist of Va The house in question is one given to the City of Lynchburg for Colored school purposes by Maj Genl Curtis in 1866 But the trustees in charge have tendered its use to Miss Whittaker One of the northern teachers sent her by Penna F Assn It is an excellent house is in the control of the city and considering it quite an addition to the interests of the colored people cordially Join in approving and recommending within desired appropriation
