Sir, In reply, to your favor requesting information as to the Union African Church of this Co. I have the honor to inform you that arrangements are made and a teacher employed to open a school as soon as the building is completed. The teacher Mr. J.W. Ballon will be supported by the Freedmen. It is Estimated that about (50) fifty scholars will attend- I am Sir Very Respectfully L A Nesmith Lieut. 12 Inf'y U.S.A. A.S.A. Commissioner
