General 
In obedience to instructions contained in letters from your Head Quarters dated May 21st and June 2d 1865. I have the honor to report that J.T.H. Hall left his division and went to Washington, on or about the 1st of May and did not return until on or about the 24th of same month; that he absented himself without any authority, so far as known- 

This is on the testimony of Mr. Conrad Lichliter and Hiram Turner. col.  

Hiram Turner above mentioned (Mr Hall's servant,) also states that Mr Hall has left his division on other occasions & went to Washington, without authority-
