A.A.A. General

Dear Sir:

Enclosed please find a leaf torn by us out of the memorandum book of Robert Logan which he says is in the hand writing of Mr. Abbott. He says these mem. were both written at the same time and since then he has never received any money or other thing from Abbott. He worked sometime for Abbott & some time for Abbott & Lipscomb that Abbott paid him $40 but there was a balance due from him on settlement independent of the $40. to the Asst. of $15.99 and from A. & L. the sum of $15.33 As Mr. Abbott first denied the indebtedness & then discovered that he owned to the amt. of $33 these incase. are transmitted with the recommendation that they be sent to Capt. Cook for presentation to Mr. A. They may refresh his recollection for these & as well the amount.

Yours Truly
