Howard's Grove Hospital
Richmond Va. Febry. 18th 1868

I have the honor to recommend that the within application of Henry Richardson for the vacant clerkship at this Hospital, be favorably considered by yourself. I know from personal knowledge that he is every way competent to fill the position.

He is an honorably discharged U.S. Soldier now out of employment.
