Respectfully returned to Bvt Brig. Gen: O. Brown. Asst. Commsr. Bu &c Richmond Va. with information that upon receipt of enclosed communication an investigation into the facts connected with the case of James Lewis Martin within named was instituted at the office of the Second Auditory of the Treasury and from report received on the 25th inst. it appears that the claim is awaiting information from the Adjutant General of the Army.
