The Asst. Comr. directs that you forward to these Head Quarters, as soon as possible, a copy of your endorsement on a letter of Mrs. Sarah. E. Johnson (cold.), alluded to in endorsement of yours dated Sept. 21st. 1868, on communication of Miss Lottie Moon.

It will be desirable, if possible, to obtain the letter of Mrs. Johnson, above mentioned, with the endorsement thereon, and forward the same to this office.

You will also report fully upon the merits of the application for assistance.
