Major
I have the honor to request authority to rent a School House of Mifflin Jennings (Col'd) at a monthly rent of ten dollars.
Said house is situated about 15 miles Eastward from Lunenburg Court House in Lunenburg County on the Church road about 3 miles from Boydton Turnpike. The house is of logs, one story high, 18 by 20 feet, heated by fire place,
The said Jennings is a reliable Colored man, well educated at the North and has opened a school of about 40 Scholars.
This aid is necessary for the continuance of the School.
