Captain. I have the honor to ask permission to rent a school house building of one large room at a place near Mount Airy, Wythe Co known as Creek Nation. P. O. Address “Mount Airy” of Louise Taylor. Price $10 a month. Rent to commence Nov 1st 1868.

I have a Teacher engaged. a colored girl. The rest of the building will be $5. The wood will be probably up to the remaining $5 or very near it. The people can just about board the Teacher & little or no more

Some sixty or seventy children at least can be enrolled. There has never been a school there. I hope the $10 will be granted & had not the last two applications been thought large I should have asked for $15.

I am Capt
Very Respectfully
