I am directed by the Asst. Comr to inform you that the 38 U.S.C.T. are about to be mustered out of service. As many of the men belonging to this regiment are entitled to Bounty retained under General Orders no 90 Series 1864. H.Q. Dept. Va. & N.C. You will please take their affidavits and power of attorney, which after being executed will be forwarded to these Head Quarters

The date of General Order No. 90. is Aug 4th 1864. We have no bounty for men mustered into service previous to that date, or after February 28th 1865.

I am directed by the Asst. Comr to call your attention to your Land Report for the month of January 1867

In December you reported 4 Wooden buildings at Danville  You were instructed by S.O. 185, par. 2. Series 1866, from these Head Quarters, to turn over all buildings at Danville, built by the C.S. Govt. to the Post Q.M. at Lynchburg, except the two occupied for school purposes. This would of course leave two on hand. None appear on last months Land Report

Please explain this matter
