By todays mail orders will be forwarded relieving you from duty as Supt. of the 8th Dist. and assigning you to duty as Supt. of the 1st Dist. with Head Quarters at Norfolk, Va. relieving Captain W.P. Austin Supt. who will succeed you as Supt. of the 8th Dist. On receipt of the order you will immediately proceed to Norfolk leaving Captain Sherwood temporarily in charge of your property and papers, until the arrival of Captain Austin.

Orders will also be forwarded relieving Bvt. Maj. G.P. Sherwood Asst. Supt. from duty in the 8th Dist. and assigning him to duty in the 5th Dist.

them a copy of their account of sales of Bureau property sold by them during the month of December 1865 for Colonel Stuart Barnes late Superintendent 2nd District.

The statement to specify the location and names of the different purchases.

You will please ascertain whether any of the property reported sold in December 1865, or during previous months was sold to a Mr. Moss of Clarksville, or whether their accounts embraced any property except in the immediate vicinity of Point of Rocks and other places named in their accounts.
