Please see Messers McIlivaine [[McIlvaine]] and Purnell and procure the deposition of one or both of them in regard to whether they took up on their account of sales any property situated in Clarksville, and if so under what circumstances such property was taken up. Also whether the sum of Five hundred dollars was taken up by them and added to their return of sales at Point of Rocks and City Point. 

You will also enquire of Mr. Moss formerly Treasury Agent at Clarksville, the name of the purchasers of the buildings sold by him under Capt. Barnes direction, and the amount he received as the proceeds of said sale.
