This man appears to have been paid $15. per month for March, April, May and June 1865.

The total amount of pay due him during the time he was employed by Capt. Brown appears to be $139.66/100 - Of this amount $52.25/100 was stopped for extra rations issued to himself or his family- His receipts show that he received $78.40/100 cash from Capt. Brown- $9.20/100 due him on June 18th 1865 - was transferred to Capt. Flagg. He appears from Capt. Flagg's papers to have been paid to August 31st 1865 - and does not appear to have worked for Capt. Flagg during the months of September, October and November 1865.

David Foster - states that he was employed at Saw Mill on Taylor Farm from April 1st 1864 to August 31st 1865 at $10. per month and that he has received but 70 Dollars for the whole time.

The total amount of pay due this man during the time he was employed by Capt. Brown appears to be $141.66/100 - of this amount $31.60/100 was stopped by extra rations issued to himself or his family. His receipts show that he received $110.06/100 in cash and certificates of Indebtedness from Capt. Brown.

He appears to have been paid $15 per month for Jany. Feby. March & April 1865 - and does not appear on the rolls of Capt. Brown as having worked in May & June 1865 - neither does he appear to have worked at all for Capt. Flagg.

Austin Pryor - states that he was employed at Norfolk, Va. by Capt. Brown from March 1st 1864 to June 1st 1865- at $20 per month and that he received but $20 for the whole time.

This man appears to have been paid $10 per month - Capt. Brown did not pay his laborers $20 per month.

The total amount of pay due this man appears to be $89- and his receipts show that he received the whole amount. 

He does not appear to have worked in March & April 1864. Neither does his name appear on the rolls in January, February, March, April, May, or June 1865 but the name of Anton Bryant & Pryant does appear and he received all pay due him.

William H. Barnes claims to have worked on certain steamers - Genl. Howard has been written to regarding his claims.- Capt. Brown never had charge of the "Chamberlain".

He does not appear on Capt. Brown's Rolls as having worked one day at the "Taylor Farm".-

David Lockin, Shedrick Wood, Jordan Wilson and James Moore claim pay from the C.S. and Q.M. Depts. - Genl. Howard has been written to regarding their claims.
