states that he loaned Harris $600 before the war and received a Bond for the money, which was to bear interest at 6 per cent, per annum, that Harris paid him interest three times, endorsing on the Bond the amount paid.

During the month of April 1865, Harris came to Crittenden and received the Bond, to, as he understood, endorse interest paid, but has never returned it and refused to do so.

Harris also owes Crittenden an additional sum of #300.

This case passed through your office in March 1866, but has never been brought before the Civil Courts.
