Sir,
On the 19th March, a letter was addressed you (Copy of which is enclosed) relative the proof of title of Thomas Williamson, Chf. Engineer U.S. Navy, to a piece of property, situated on Granley Street, Norfolk, Va., to which no answer has been received. Genl. Howard informed this office that you would furnish the necessary proof, which is necessary before restoring the property. 
An early answer is respectfully requested.

The Asst. Comr., directs that you will make report and recommendation upon the following request made by the Friends Freedmen Association of Philadelphia.
 
That at the reopening of the Schools, in the ninth month next, the exclusive and entire occupancy of the School and Mission buildings at Danville may be granted to George Dixon, Supt., the present arrangement being attended with much inconvenience and discomfort.

The Asst. Comr. directs that you will make reports and recommendation upon the following request made by the Friend Freedmen Association of Philadelphia.

That the rent paid by the Association for the use of a Mission House at Williamsburg during the past season which amounted in all to $101 75/100 may be refunded.

Also that a part of the cost incurred by the Assoc'n in removing and fitting up the School - an Mission - buildings at Yorktown, which has been a heavy item of expense, may be assumed by the Bureau.
