Com. 243/248 Major, I enclose herewith check No. 1106, on Nat'l Bank of the "Republic", for $108.33/100 payable to the order of Mary Majors, being amount of Retained Bounty due he deceased son Wm. Majors late Private Co. "H" 38th U.S.C. Troops. Please acknowledge receipt of enclosed check. You will notify the woman that the check is in your possession.
