I have the honor to request that 1st Lieut. Geo. M. Fleming, 11th U.S. Infantry recently assigned to duty in this Bureau, and placed in charged, of the Counties of Nansemond and Isle of Wight, Va. be appointed Mil. Comr. for said counties in place of 1st Lieut. Edwd Murphy, V.R.C.

Lieut. Flemings Headquarters are at Suffolk, Va.
