Sir,
In accordance with the requirements of Cir. 16, dated War Dept. A.G.O. Feby 6th 1864, I have the honor to inform you that John Shimp Company "H" 11th Reg, U.S.I. is on detached duty as Guard at Public Stables, at these Head Quarters, pursuant to Special Orders No. 16, dated Headquarters Dist of Henrico Feby 1st 1867.

He is well and on duty, and was last paid by Paymaster Bvt. Lt. Col. F.H. Staunton to include, Oct 31st 1867.

His clothing account is kept here.
