In accordance with the requirements of Cir. No. 16, dated War Dept., A.G.O. Febr. 6th, 1864, I have the honor to inform you that John Shimp, Co. H. 11th U.S.I. is on detached duty as Guard at Public Stables, at these Hd. Qrs. pursuant to S.O. No. 16, dated Hd. Qrs. Dist. of Henrico, Febr. 1st, 1867.

He is well and on duty, and was last paid by Paymaster Bvt. Lt. Col. T.H. Stanton, to include December 31st 1867. His Clothing Account is kept here.
