Sir,
In reply to your communication of the 3d inst. I have to state, that in view of the continuance of the "Educational Branch of the Bureau", until otherwise ordered by Congress, it is perhaps unnecessary to make any other arrangement in regard to the "Bakery" building, to which you refer.

Sir,
In your report under Circular No 6, Series 1866, from these Hd. Qrs. for the month ending November 30, 1868, you say that "three of their churches and School houses, have been burned by the Whites since July last" I am directed by the Asst. Comr. to call upon you for a full report in the two cases occurring before that on October 30th and for an explanation of the reason why they have not before been reported.

Mr. McLaughlin will also state why the School of Mr. James Taylor had not been reported upon the regular monthly School reports.
