New York, December 23rd, 1935.

My dear Germain, 
A letter from Georges received today asks whether we plan to ship anything to him to London, and he talks about the CEZANNE water color "Peaches on a Plate". The price of 900 guineas which he was last quoted, he finds to be too high. I am therefore quoting him as our last price Ffrs. 60,000. which is really above the actual value of this water color today, unfortunately!

Let me know if there is anything that you would like to see shipped to him and if you think that this C'ezanne should go alone. Don't you think we should wait until we get an answer from Boston before we decide to send anything to London? If the answer was negative, we could send that picture to George, together with other things. 

Georges seems to say that the National Gallery would be interested in the SEURAT and also tells me that ROSENBERG has now in his hands the picture by Seurat which was owned by R. de M. I wonder if he has been able to purchase it. 

In my letter to Georges I am complaining to him about the fact that I only get part of the information regarding modern pictures, and that I am consequently very much handicapped to help him in his activities in Europe-or to help ourselves in many ways. 

I send you herewith the letter I have just received from EBSTEIN. Will you be good enough to return it to me because I wish to answer him.
