Mr. Germain Séligmann's visit to Mr. Francis Taylor of WORCESTER ART MUSEUM

Spoke about the GERMAIN PILON statue of which he remembered having seen a photograph. I told him of the false pedigree which had been given us, and of the fact that it came from the Kraemer Collection, and that it was in Babelon's book of Germain Pilon.

When asked the price, I told him I had asked Kansas City about $40,000. in view of the bargaining process there - but that I would be able to make him a better price.

He was very much impressed with the photograph of the GIOTTO. Asked the price and I told him $100,000.

The "Eiffel Tower" by SEURAT, of which he also asked the price -$8,500.- interested him and I told him about the scarcity of Seurats altogether, which would all have disappeared within two or three years.

He was very much impressed with the photo of the "Trinity" - price asked $14,000. He asked to have it sent up over the summer.

I left photos of the "Eiffel Tower" and the "Trinity" sculpture.

He told me that he would like to buy a good-sized, good French painting of the 18th century: "Scene de genre" representing informality in a formal scene.

PATER - LANCRET
I told him I would make suggestions.
