Dear Mr. Séligmann:

In accordance with your letter of August 16th to Mr. Levy, I have paid him the sum of $262.50 being 7-1/2% commission on the Redon pastel sold to Mr. Ryerson.

MORGAN GRENFELL & CO. -- I received their Credit Memo. for £4.000- for a remittance for our account from the Paris house. Would you be good enough to instruct Mr. Peck to let me know what this is for?

UNION SOLVENTS -- I received copies of your correspondence with Mr. Robbins. You have 300 shares of common stock and 300 shares of preferred stock of this corporation which altogether set you back $12,600. Mr. René owns 1300 each of common and preferred stock. I have advised Mr. Robbins accordingly.

MR. EDGAR -- Sold 100 shares United States Steel at 94-7/8.

Bought 100 shares U. S. Steel at 89.

DECORATORS PICTURE GALLERY -- On September 20th, we delivered to them at their request, the entire shipment of sixteen pictures. On September 22nd Mrs. Gates called up to say that of the whole lot she found only the Van Loo and the Colson suitable for her exhibition, and asked us to call for the remainder, which has been done.

NEWHOUSE GALLERIES -- Mr. Levy consigned to them the Renoir,"Portrait of a Girl" which we have on consignment from Mrs. Friedberg. 

GASTON LEVI -- We returned to him the painting by Gerard, "Comtesse de Montbrun".
