We received the following cable: WILL SHIP DAUMIER DEBUREAU IN FORTNIGHT STOP SEND FOLLOWING TELEGRAM ADDRESS BRAME PARIS QUOTE NO MORE INTEREST DEGAS REGARDS HEALEY END QUOTE. As instructed, I have done the necessary.

MRS. CARLTON, COLORADO SPRINGS - Mr. Levy turned over to me a letter he received from Mr. François Gérard in connection with the shipment of two Bergeres, of which one arrived in damaged condition. To cut a long story short, after dozens of telephone calls to Hirshbach & Smith and Topliss & Harding, this Bergere will be repaired with the authorization of the above insurance brokers, and I hope that the shipment can finally be forwarded to our client within a week. The damages it seems are not very serious, consisting mainly of an old break in the back leg which became loose. I shall, however, examine the damages, personally, this afternoon, not having had a chance to do so before as the shipment was the Appraiser's Store. I only with to say that in the future I should very much appreciate getting some details directly from the Paris house which would save me a lot of time and trouble, as under the circumstances, I had to get the story piece by piece.

Yours very faithfully,

O.A. Liechti

Mrs. Gates just called: that she will return the Van Loo & take instead the Mercier,. "La Sieste"
