Dear Mr. Séligmann:

LORD MOYNE -- I beg to remind you that our agreements with him regarding his tapestries expire on October 12th.

I also wish to remind you of the following:-

Your letter to Mme. Jacques Séligmann, dated March 23rd, 1937
Your letter to Mr. René Fulda, dated May 10th, 1937

as per appended copies.

MR. EDGAR -- Bought 100 shares Douglas Aircraft at 57-1/2.

ST. LOUIS MUSEUM -- Returned this morning the Bonnard, "Vase de Fleurs" and the Redon, "Profil et Fleurs". We are shipping the Redon to Paris per S. S. CHAMPLAIN, leaving New York on July 24th.

MRS. LICHTENSTEIN -- She owes us the sum of $423.30 for a Marinot glass sold to her February 10th, 1937. I sent her monthly statements, but not having received any reply called her up on the phone June 30th, at which time she told me that she would mail us a check immediately. As yet I haven't received it.

WILLIAM PALEY -- Sent him an invoice for $50 as instructed by Mr. Levy for having the Redon frame enlarged. Lowy's charge for this work was $35.

THOMAS ADLER -- Shipped the little Picasso, "Harlequin" to him in Cincinnati.

REPAIRS -- We had another leak in the basement and Kling is attending to it. As we will be closed during the entire month of August, I think it is safest to have the water supply for the house shut off during this time. This will prevent the possibility of any leak which might pass unnoticed until it had caused serious damage. However, the lavatory in the basement will be left connected.

FEDERAL AUDIT 1935 -- We have received an additional assessment of $1,387.84 based on depreciation of $11,923.40 on works of art, which the Treasury Dept. disallowed. I turned over these papers to Mr. Friedman who, as you know, is familiar with this matter and who will take the necessary steps to protect our interests.
