Dear Mr. Séligmann:

MONKS CLOTH for the main gallery.

Herein I am sending you 2 samples of this material - one of a narrow weave, and the other of the material at present on the walls of the main gallery, for comparison.

You will notice that these new pieces are a little lighter in tone than the old material, but the salesman explained to me that there was always a little variation in shade, and that possibly the next time the manufacturer filled an order it might be a trifle darker - though of course there is no certainty about it.

These materials are both priced at $.59 per yard today - and they feel at Bloomingdale's that it will not go higher immediately, though during winter it was as high at $.69 per yard. We would need approximately 125 yards, which would make a total of $73.75, plus, of course, the expense of having Susie sew it together.

Though I am keeping a small piece of each of these samples here for identification, nevertheless I think it would help us if you were to return that of the material you choose, together with the little label from Bloomingdale's.

With best wishes for a pleasant stay in St. Moritz,

Yours very sincerely,

Theresa D. Parker
