Dear Bob:

I am sending you herein, the photograph of our NAPOLEON TAPESTRY, as, off hand, it certainly belongs in the Palace of the Legion of Honor. You can tell Heil that I am sorry not to have seen him again and that I particularly intended showing him this wonderful work of art. For your information I am sending you what you actually worked out on it.

I wired you that I thought you should take along the "EIFFLE TOWER" and the "CHAPEAU NINICHE" as well as the PONT DE LANGLOIS, as, being in San Francisco, it would be a pity not to even try and do some business. W.W. CROCKER would be my first suggestion, and how about MRS. HENRY POTTER RUSSELL, who I understand now lives in her mother's home in Burlingame - though you told me that they had no money, it is a story of course, which couldn't be true and these items anyway are in very small figures.

Also, years ago Clyfford Trevor did some business with the old MIS CARLOTTA MABURY (address, 2000 Washington St., San F.) who, if I am not mistaken, is a sister of Paul Mabury. Go to see her.

How about calling on Mrs. Charles H. QUINN (who lives in San Francisco as well as having a home at 141 South Carolwood Drive, Los Angeles). As you know, she used to be a client of Clifford and is also Connie Moss' aunt.

I am also sending you a photograph of the BOUCHER landscape, as should you be able to see Mrs. David Armstrong TAYLOR (1100 Sacremento [[Sacramento]] St., San F.) whom René has not been successful in contacting, you might talk to her about it.

René is also writing you about MRS. SIDNEY EHRMAN.

YOUR DEGAS PASTEL: I think it would be nice if you attended to the payment of it in the near future, as don't forget it has been bought through Brame and he must pay for it.

I AM SURPRISED TO BE WITHOUT ANY NEWS from you as regards your other activities in Los Angeles; Did you see Mrs. Goldwyn? Did you try and contact CLAUDETTE COLBERT? As regards STENDAHL, I think he should return the paintings by now.

PAINTINGS SENT TO DE SYLVA BY OTHER DEALERS - if you don't want to knock the paintings, you could always say that you know the painting very well, as you saw it several times in the last few years at exhibitions: Which of course implies that they have had it for quite a while.
