Dear Sir:

The president of our corporation, Mr. Germain Séligmann who is a legally admitted resident of the United States, has suddenly been called on very urgent business to Paris, France. He intends sailing per S. S. CHAMPLAIN on February 4th and would be greatly obliged to you for issuing to him his re-entry permit before that date.

Enclosed please find application for re-entry permit duly filled in and signed, two photographs and Money Order in the amount of $3.
