9 rue de la paix,
Paris,
August 25th., 1938

Dear René:

I returned yesterday from a very short stay in St. Moritz - just two weeks - and am going to remain in Paris for two or three days prior to a tour which I have to make, and might finish up by going to the Riviera, but I fear that you will have left by then.

I did receive your little note of August 12th., and was interested in reading about your meeting the Nichol SMITHs of Burlingame.

I trust you read that the PALEYs were in France, and from Georges Haardt, whom I have just seen, I am wondering whether, in fact, you didn't see them on the Riviera, as he claims they were in Monte Carlo? Also, about the Edsel Fords being in Versailles, etc.

Do you intend sailing on September 4th??

I hope you are well,

(Germain Séligmann)

Monsieur René Seligmann,
Hôtel du Cap,
Antibes. A.M.
