so inconsequential as not to merit an actual claim.

EXPENSES MRS. THORNE & MR. CLARK -- I trust that on my return in September I will have all the necessary information in order to send out the invoices.

I received your cable:-

SHALL PERHAPS NEED SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM PRIVATE ACCOUNT NEWYORK TRUST IN ABOUT WEEK STOP INFORM EDGAR ASK ROBBINS HOW TO TRANSFER TO MORGAN IN NECESSARY CABLE INFORMATION

to which I replied:-

PROVISIONS FOR TRANSFER NEWYORK TRUST COMPANY MADE STOP IF FUNDS REQUIRED CABLE ROBBINS TO EXECUTE STOP CABLE ADDRESS BENIGAL.

If and when you should require these funds, it will work as follows as arranged by Mr. Robbins and myself:-

I am leaving with Mr. Robbins a letter to The New York Trust Company (bearing my signature) asking them to transfer to the debit of your account with them to J. P. Morgan & Company, New York, the sum of $60,00.- [[note]] to the credit of our firm [[/note]]

I got in touch with Mr. Edgar who tells me that in view of the rising market, he is a bit reluctant to sell any of your holdings at the present time. If, however, this transfer is required, he could sell some of your securities at a moment's notice through a cash transaction, remitting the proceeds immediately to The New York Trust company to the credit of your account. Therefore, should you require the $60,000.- will you be good enough to cable to Mr. Robbins (cable address BENINGAL NEW YORK) to execute this transfer (I gave him all necessary details). He, in turn, will immediately call Mr. Edgar who will, in his turn, at once sell some of your holdings in order to make the required amount of this remittance.

I informed Mr. Edgar of the exact balance of your account as of today, being
$52,783. Mr. Robbins will then add his signature to the aforementioned letter and send it by messenger to The New York Trust Company.

For your information, kindly allow one day between your cable instructions to Mr. Robbins and your withdrawal at J.P. Morgan & Co.

I trust that I have made this arrangement to your entire satisfaction.

I intend leaving now in a day or two for my vacation. My neuritis is getting quite a bit better, but is still bothering me once in a while. I hope that you yourself are enjoying a much needed rest, and with my best thanks for "everything" and with best wishes,

Yours very faithfully,
