Paris, July 5th 1938

Dear Liechti,

You will find herein copy of a letter I am sending by same mail to Mr. Chauncey Mc Cormick, in answer to his of June 14th.,

Will you, in about a weeks time, that is about a week after you have received this letter, write to Mr. Mc Cormick more or less along these lines :

"Dear Sir,

I have just received a cable from Mr. Germain Seligmann who is at present in Paris, requesting me to enquire from you what decision you have taken in the matter of the Picasso, as should you decide not to keep it, he has instructed me to have it sent at once to our Paris firm.

Thanking you in advance for your "answer, etc.,"

There is writing in the bottom right corner that needs to translated ---------- Reopened for Editing 2024-02-11 17:18 MS pulled out the reference to Mme H in the shorthand. otherwise, just left it as per instructions. -usually punctuation is left, but this would make the page unreadable. assuming that moving the " to the end is ok with SI?
