Dear Mr. Séligmann:

WINSLOW AMES -- Paid $100 on account of his purchase of a Delacroix drawing, leaving a balance still due of $500.

MRS. THORNE -- As per my cabled advice, she remitted to us check for £992.5.0 in full payment of the Watteau drawing. (Drawing: £945.0.0 plus 5% commission: £47.5.0) In view of the uncertain condition in Europe, I thought it advisable to deposit this check with J. P. Morgan & Co., New York who gave me a rate of 4.79.

DALLAS MUSEUM -- Called for the following paintings through Budworth:-

5997 Beechay "Miss McMunn"
3767 Hardlow "Mrs. MacLachlan"
5694 Hoppner "Sir Henry Goodricke"
4594 Opie "Match Girl"
6232 Romney "Capt. Milnes"
4696 Smart "Portrait of a Gentleman"
5663 Raeburn "Miss Elizabeth Dalrymple"

The three paintings which we had secured for them from the J. Horace Harding Estate will follow on September 19th. (Rec of 19.9.18)

McCORMICK -- I have not heard anything further.
