P.S. You left me a note that should Mr. Nosi want the little Corneille de Lyon "Diane de Poitiers" the price to be mentioned was $8,000. What net price to Nesi, or, as you previously arrangedin making him prices, what discount to be allowed him? (Mr. Nesi has not 'phoned or anything else, but I just thought I would inquire before he did) TDP.

Dear Mr. Séligmann:

I am writing to you so that you will at least have some word when you reach Havana - and not because there is really anything to be said. On the other hand, you will realize that this is Monday and that you have only been away, as far as business hours go, about one complete day.

We have not had any cables from Paris yet and have only received what might be called routine mail. Mr. Haardt was in, has decided against taking any of the high priced English paintings such as Capt. Milnes, etc., and therefore the only painting which he had not foreseen and, I understand, spoken to you of, is the little Gauguin (Perls) "Paysage" which did not seem of sufficient importance to disturb your rest by a wireless.

Mr. René has asked me to include the following, "In spite of the threats because of the lavish use of photographs, upon Mr. Hipkiss request I have sent him a photograph of the Voltaire, to the Boston Museum. He said he was anxious to have a print and was interested. However, in case they are not interested they will surely return the photograph". The Voltaire in question is the one by Rosset - ex Rosenfeld.

Mr. Liechti wants to post you on the return of the Gris this morning from the Arts Club of Chicago.

As yet we have heard nothing from Mr. Duncan Phillips.

Anyway, this note will serve the purpose of letting you know that there is, or at least has not yet been, anything of great importance since you sailed.

With every possible good wish that your cruise is being pleasant, restful and interesting,

Yours very sincerely,

(Mrs. Theresa D. Parker)
