January 25th., 1939.

Dear Maury:

It has been on my mind for a few days to tell you how much I enjoyed reading the very "halo-making" article you published about me on January 16th.

I have been, unfortunately, laid up for a whole week with one of these very popular grippe attacks - hence this delay.

I am sorry that you could not attend the little function at Mr. and Mrs. Garrean Dombasle's, which, though quite intimate was very impressive to me, and I would have liked having you there too.

With renewed thanks and best regards, I am

Very sincerely yours,

(Germain Séligmann)
